Newton Abbot: Racing goes ahead
Officials at Newton Abbot have cancelled their planned 8am inspection and racing goes ahead on Monday afternoon.
Clerk of the course Jason Loosemore had been worried about the prospect of overnight rain on already testing ground.
However, the track saw less rain than was forecast and Loosemore is happy to give the meeting the go-ahead.
The ground is described as soft, heavy in places.
Roscommon on
Monday afternoon's meeting at Roscommon also goes ahead after the track passed an 8am inspection.
Officials called the morning check due to the threat of overnight rain but have been able to give the fixture the thumbs up.
Horse Racing Ireland tweeted: "Roscommon passes this morning's inspection and racing goes ahead. Situation still being monitored."
