Hoyam is set to step back up to six furlongs for the Jaguar Cars Cheveley Park Stakes following her run over the minimum trip at Doncaster.
The filly was doing her best work at the finish when fifth to Sir Prancealot in the Flying Childers and is now on course for the Group One at Newmarket on September 29.
"She's going to head to the Cheveley Park," said trainer Michael Bell.
"The race at Doncaster did not quite go according to plan and we'll go to Newmarket next with her."
Winner of a Listed race over five furlongs at York on her previous start, Hoyam's only other attempt over an extra furlong came in the Princess Margaret Stakes at Ascot in July when she was third to Maureen.
The latter, trained by Richard Hannon, could also line-up at Newmarket.
