I'm A Dreamer: Could run in the Beverly D Stakes next month

Sky Bet

I'm A Dreamer is set to embark upon another American adventure next month following her honourable run at the Curragh last Sunday.

The David Simcock-trained mare finished third behind Izzi Top in the Group One Pretty Polly Stakes and is now in training for an assault at the Grade One Beverly D Stakes at Arlington, Illinois, on August 18.

Simcock said: "She's very consistent and ran very well to get to within a length and three-quarters of Izzi Top on testing ground.

"It was very important be Group One-placed, so to do it on ground she didn't like was very impressive.

"If everything's OK, the next stop would be the Beverly D - we've got plenty of time to get her ready for that."

I'm A Dreamer is no stranger to transatlantic racing after she was denied by a head in the EP Taylor Stakes at Woodbine, Canada, last October.

Meeting Of Minds

John Gosden also has the same meeting under consideration for two of his Royal Ascot winners with Windsor Forest heroine Joviality set for a possible clash with I'm A Dreamer in the Beverley D while Duke Of Edinburgh scorer Camborne has a new race as a target.

"I was mindful of Henry's (Cecil) filly (Chachamaidee) but thought the stiff mile might find her out and so it did," Gosden told At The Races.

"I thought William (Buick) rode a lovely race. He committed to make it a test and she showed great courage, her best trip is a little longer.

"She's the type of filly we'll be looking at the Beverley D at Arlington Park for her, that should be right up her alley.

"She could race at five, but it might be next year they breed from her so we'll see.

"Camborne is an enigmatic character and he's the only time I tie a jockey down to orders.

"There's an interesting plan for him. They've put on a new race, the American St Leger, on the big weekend there at Arlington.

"It's one mile and about five and a bit furlongs so we'll run him in that and he could be an interesting entry.

"Hopefully I'll have something for the Arlington Million, too."
