Last year's Gimcrack and Mill Reef Stakes winner Caspar Netscher continued his preparations with a racecourse gallop at Nottingham.
Alan McCabe's Qipco 2000 Guineas hope is set to make his first competitive appearance in the Greenham Stakes at Newbury on April 21 and was partnered by Martin Harley over around five furlongs of Colwick Park.
Kieren Fallon, who is to ride the big gamble Most Improved in the Guineas, was helping out in the exercise on Sans Loi, twice a winner last year, with Nora Looby on handicapper Eastern Hills.
Decent Gallop
All three belong to Charles Wentworth, with the lower-profile pair setting a decent gallop before Caspar Netscher pulled a handful of lengths clear in the closing stages.
"That was objective achieved - he had a nice blow on lovely ground - and we're very grateful to Nottingham for letting us come here," said McCabe.
"We just wanted to get him out and get the freshness out of him, and hopefully that's putting him ready for the Greenham."
McCabe said nothing could be read into the jockey order, adding: "We haven't made a decision yet - I am lucky enough to have Kieren Fallon riding for me, Robert Winston, Martin Harley, Shane Kelly, so we'll wait and see."
Harley said: "I was happy with him. He seemed very happy and I couldn't be more pleased with him. I'd say he has strengthened up and definitely trained on."
