A good run in the Irish Hennessy on February 12 will book Quito De La Roque a place in the Cheltenham Gold Cup in March.

Trainer Colm Murphy was disappointed with the eight-year-old's third to Synchronised in the Lexus Chase, especially after the chaser's reappearance win at Down Royal.

However the Co. Wexford handler reports his staying chaser to be in good form ahead of his Leopardstown date next month, telling skysports.com: "He's good. You'd know he'd had a run but he seems well again and I'm delighted with him since.

"It's all systems go to the Irish Hennessy and there's no doubt that we were disappointed a little with him in the Lexus - hopefully we'll see a different horse in the Hennessy.

"He has an entry in the Cheltenham Gold Cup and the Hennessy will decide what we will do with him."
