Prince Khalid Abdullah's team were put through their paces ahead of Sunday morning's Hong Kong International races.
Thhe owner's racing manager, Teddy Grimthorpe, was non-commital about the quartet's chances: "I'm getting good reports on all the horses. But we're going to need some luck, of course. It would be great to see Bated Breath win a Group 1 finally but to win a sprint here is very difficult.
"We know that Redwood likes this track and as I've said before Cityscape should really appreciate the flat nature of Sha Tin. Byword never works spectacularly so is hard to assess."
When asked to nominate one of the horses Grimthorpe quoted Byword's trainer Andre Fabre when once asked a similar question: "I don't rate my friends...."
Redwood will be the first of the quartet to run when he lines up in the Vase where Melbourne Cup one-two Dunaden and Red Cadeaux are among those that lie in wait along with Campanologist who will be ridden by Frankie Dettori who won the International Jockey's Championship on Wednesday.
Mikel Delzangles has enjoyed a sparkling international campaign thus far with Dunaden and is hopeful of further success: ""He just had what we would call a French canter this morning, we wouldn't call that a gallop. All is good with him, he's well."
Bated Breath looks up against it in the Sprint having been handed stall 12 but he's fared marginally better than domestic favourite Sacred Kingdom and leading fancy Rocket Man who are in the two stalls outside him.
Tip Top Shape
Edward Lynam's Sole Power has fared better in box 8 and his trainer is pleased with his condition: "He's in tip top shape, his weight is spot on, and he's ready to run his race."
Patrick Shaw, trainer of Rocket Man, also believes that his charge is in better shape than when last seen in Japan: "I was going to keep him in the trotting ring this morning, but he was so fresh I decided he had to come out for a hack canter on the track.
"His weight when he won in Dubai was 472 kgs, he's on 471 kgs now. He was heavier, too heavy in fact, in Japan, but he's very fit now, but then he'll need to be from Gate 13."
