Group One winner Mandaean is one of a number of new recruits for Godolphin's Newmarket team.

The unbeaten two-year-old won the Criterium de Saint-Cloud for Andre Fabre and has now joined Mahmood Al Zarooni, along with another Group One winner in Prix Royal Oak heroine Be Fabulous.

Qatar Prix Gladiateur winner Ley Hunter has joined Saeed bin Suroor along with Colour Vision, third behind Fame And Glory in the QIPCO British Champions Long Distance Cup for Mark Johnston.

Zip Top

Racing Post Trophy winner Zip Top will race for Godolphin in Dubai early next year, with the UAE 2,000 Guineas being a target. A decision has yet to be taken on his trainer.

Simon Crisford, the Godolphin racing manager, told www.godolphin.com: "Mandaean was very impressive when he won a Group One on only his second start.

"He will spend the winter in Newmarket and be aimed at next year's top middle distance races.

"We have more than 100 horses in Dubai and our squad for the 2012 Dubai World Cup Carnival should be about the same numerically as it was for this year's.

"We are also keeping plenty of horses in Newmarket this winter as most of them are lightly-raced."
