Marco Botti's Joshua Tree is being aimed at next month's Pattison Canadian International.
The four-year-old was beaten a long way by the convincing winner, Danedream, in the Grosser Preis von Baden at Baden-Baden, however trainer Botti was pleased with the effort.
"He ran well and has come back in good order, but unfortunately the ground went too soft for him," he said.
"The filly that won was impressive but he hated the ground. Good ground is probably ideal for him, but he still ran a good race.
"He will run next on the October 16 in the Canadian International at Woodbine."
