Chris Wall plans to run Premio Loco in the totesport.com Sovereign Stakes at Salisbury on August 11.

The trainer is prepared to put a line through a rare below-par run from his stable star at Epsom on Investec Derby day and expects him to return in peak form.

"Epsom didn't work out. We blamed the track on the day, but just at that time a lot of our horses started to run a bit flat and after it was very quiet at home," said Wall.

"We had a few dirty noses and dirty scopes. Things weren't quite right and he probably was a bit under a cloud that day without us having realised it. It wasn't his form at all.

"He's on his way back now, he is looking very well and training well. I think anything at Goodwood, which is getting close now, is going to come a little too soon for him.

"The race I've got in mind for him at the moment is a mile Group Three at Salisbury, the Sovereign Stakes. That is where he's likely to head at this time.

"After that, races like the Strensall (at York) might come a bit too soon for him or we could go to Goodwood for the Celebration Mile (on August 27)."
