Mac's Power, who ran an eyecatching race in the Wokingham at Royal Ascot, will only run at Haydock this weekend if the ground doesn't dry out too much.
James Fanshawe's five-year-old was running from a career-high mark of 100 and travelled noticeably well to win his race on the stands' side but the far side, led by stablemate Deacon Blues, were well clear.
Having won the race anyway, Fanshawe was philosophical about the draw but warned Mac's Power will only run in the bet365.com Conditions Stakes if there is enough juice in the ground.
"He's ready to take his chance but he wouldn't want the ground too firm," said Fanshawe.
"He's definitely ready to go and race again but it all depends on the ground.
"He won his race on his side at Ascot but that's racing.
"At Haydock he will be well suited by the conditions of the race, but that sprint track can get pretty quick there.
"I'd like to run him but it depends on the ground."
