Marcus Tregoning's course winner Askar Tau heads a field of nine for Friday's Emirates Airline Yorkshire Cup at York.
The Ascot Gold Cup is the big target for the former Lonsdale Cup winner, who returned to form in last month's Sagaro Stakes at Ascot, but he faces at least two potential stars of the division in Duncan and Native Ruler.
The John Gosden-trained Duncan was a force at middle distances last term, winning the Prix Foy and chasing home Harbinger in the Hardwicke Stakes while Henry Cecil's Native Ruler made a tremendous comeback after more than a year and a half away from the track by finishing a narrow second to Dandino in the Jockey Club Stakes at Newmarket.
Cecil won the race a year ago with the currently injured Manifest.
Manighar is back on the trail after a respectable showing in the Melbourne Cup while Clowance, Electrolyser, Free Agent, Buxted and Blue Bajan are not to be taken lightly either.
