Famous Name is being lined up for a raid on France after he claimed his third successive victory in the Desmond Stakes at the Curragh on Sunday.

The four-year-old, trained by Dermot Weld, finished four-and-a-half lengths claim after making light of the testing conditions.

And Teddy Grimthorpe, racing manager for owner Khalid Abdullah, believes the Dansili colt is ready for an assault on the Prix du Moulin at Longchamp.

"We're delighted with him and he did it very nicely indeed. He hardly came off the bridle really so we'll have to look at stepping him up in class again now," said Grimthorpe.

"We'll have a look at something like the Prix du Moulin at Longchamp for him."
