Abstraction is to wait for the Derrinstown Stud Flying Five Stakes at the Curragh after being taken out of Saturday's Betfred Beverley Bullet at the final declaration stage.
Connections have opted to run their four-year-old colt in the Group Three over the minimum trip on Irish soil on September 14 rather than travel to the East Yorkshire venue for their Listed feature this weekend.
Trainer Sarah Dawson wants to give Abstraction just one run ahead of a tilt at the Qatar Prix de l'Abbaye at Longchamp on October 5.
"We're not going to run on Saturday. He'll go straight to the Curragh and then hopefully the Abbaye," said the County Down handler.
"He's absolutely great. All's good and we're just keeping everything crossed."
Abstraction was fifth in the Flying Five last season before spending the winter in Dubai and then making a pleasing return after a near six-month absence when runner-up to Sir Maximilian in the Abergwaun Stakes at Tipperary three weeks ago.
