Richard Hannon is mapping out a route to the Ladbrokes St Leger with Windshear that could include one more run beforehand.
A model of consistency this season, the Hurricane Run colt has not finished out of the first two in seven career starts.
He has been second in the Bahrain Trophy and the Gordon Stakes on his last two outings, traditional trials for the world's oldest Classic, but having had six runs already this term, Hannon needs to decide whether he will run in the Great Voltigeur or another such contest.
"Windshear has come out of Goodwood fine and there are no problems," said Hannon.
"He ran well in the Gordon. Maybe he was a little bit unlucky but it was still a good run and we will have a look at the Ladbrokes St Leger now.
"I'm not sure yet if he will have another run between now and then. We will have to see."
Windshear is 14-1 for the Classic with bookmakers Sky Bet.
