The second major of the golf season is upon us and Sky Sports will once again bring you the best live coverage of the 2011 US Open.

The event takes place at Congressional Country Club, just outside the US capital of Washington DC, in Maryland, Bethesda.

Graeme McDowell returns to defend the trophy he won last year and Sky Sports will bring you more than 30 hours of live coverage.

Available in crystal-clear high definition, it's the best place to watch as all the action unfolds across the Atlantic.

The action starts at 3pm on Thursday June 16 on Sky Sports HD2, as we bring you nine hours of live coverage on both of the first two days.

And on Saturday and Sunday you'll see the tournament won with at least six hours of golf live from Congressional, again on Sky Sports HD2.

You can also follow the action online via Sky Player and Sky TV customers with Sky Sports 1 & 2 can watch live channels, including all five Sky Sports channels, online for free until the end of June (click here for more details)

And if you miss any of the action you can catch up with our highlights every morning on Sky Sports or at your own convenience via Sky Anytime and Sky Player.
