Steven Bowditch will take a two-shot lead into the final round of the AT&T Byron Nelson in Texas after carding a four-under 65 in the third round.
The 31-year-old Australian recorded five birdies and a bogey to move to 13-under 195 after 54 holes at the TPC Four Seasons Resort in Irving.
Bowditch birdied the third and sixth holes before also picking up a shot at the par-five seventh.
His progress was stalled when he bogeyed the ninth, but he recovered to pick up further shots at the 11th and 14th to go clear at the top of the leaderboard.
"It was a good day, I played pretty solid today," he said. "I drove it into the fairway most of the time so it's nice to be in this position heading into Sunday.
"I can draw back on the little bit of experience I've had, it hasn't been much but I've been able to get over the line.
"For the amount of rain we've had to be out there playing is unbelievable. The course is wet, but the greens are holding up great so you can make some putts.
"You've just got to keep it on the fairway and get that ball in your hand.
"A two-shot lead is just one hole. I'll keep playing the way I have been and hopefully I can roll in a few putts."
Bowditch, who is bidding for only his second PGA Tour title after winning the Texas Open last year, leads a five-strong group two shots back on 11 under overall.
The group includes Dustin Johnson and joint-overnight leader Jimmy Walker, with fellow Americans Scott Pinckney, Jonathan Randolph and Jon Curran also two back.
Brendon de Jonge had looked set to challenge the leaders when he picked up four shots in as many holes on the back nine, but a solitary bogey at the last saw the Zimbabwean slip further back.
Masters champion Jordan Spieth is a further four shots back after a third-round 68 which almost included a hole-in-one at the par-three 17th.
