McIlroy - No rift with McDowell
The world of golf has shed it normally sedate and genteel image this week with a series of controversies hitting the headlines.
Divisions over the anchored putting debate followed on from the now infamous Garcia-Woods fall-out which rather spiralled out of control as the week drew on.
And seemingly it was not only Sergio and Tiger crossing words, with reports also claiming that Rory McIlroy had fallen out with Graeme McDowell over his impending decision to quit the management company they share.
But ahead of this week's BMW PGA Championship, McIlroy moved to set the record straight and insist his relationship with McDowell remains strong.
However, in a rather cryptic interview McIlroy refused to an elaborate on a line he had offered earlier in the week when he told Sky Sports: "If you want to be in the circus, you have to put up with the clowns."
Asked to explain that comment he merely replied: "I thought it was a good comment... just think about it."
Just who could McIlroy have been talking about?!
