Lee Westwood is looking forward to getting competitive on Sunday after a round of 70 left him on two under par for the Masters.
The 40-year-old Englishman retains hopes of lifting a belated first major title after countering two bogeys with four birdies.
"It was good, the greens were getting fairly icey out there," he told Sky Sports. "It's hard for people to comprehend at home, it's tricky and 70 feels like a good score.
"The main aim was to go out and play the par fives well and I played them in four-under so mission accomplished today.
"Hopefully I'm not too far off the lead and I can play a good front nine and be within one or two of the lead.
"The Masters is one of my favourites, it's a great place to come it would be nice to be coming back with a green jacket."
