Skysports.com picks six players to watch at this week's European Masters in Switzerland.
Westwood and McIlroy head the betting in Switzerland
An excellent field tees-up at Crans Montona in Switzerland for this week's prestigious European Masters sponsored by Omega.
The stunning alpine course of Crans-sur-Sierre first staged a professional event in 1923 and has held a top-level tournament every year since 1948.
Opened as far back as 1908, this high altitude venue is tree-lined and extremely undulating.
Re-designed by the late Seve Ballesteros in 1999, sloping lies are very much the order of the day - uphill, downhill and sideways.
The greens are also smaller than normal, meaning accurate iron play is the key to low scoring.
So who's expected to challenge this weekend?
Bradley Dredge: Has an excellent record in Switzerland where three of his last five appearances have yielded top-three finishes including a victory in 2006.
Miguel Angel Jimenez: The reigning champion who has also finished second, third and fourth at Crans since 2004. His last 30 rounds in this event average 68.57.
Rory McIlroy: Both previous visits to Switzerland have yielded top-10 finishes, including a runners-up spot three years ago.
Edoardo Molinari: No top-10s in over six months, although the Italian showed some decent form in Scotland at the weekend when he tied-for-22nd.
Seung-Yul Noh: The young Korean, without a victory in 17 months, was fourth in this event last year. Tied-sixth in Scandinavia during July and was a top-20 finisher last week at Gleneagles.
Lee Westwood: The winner here 12 years ago and making only his third visit since 2003.
