Scotland's Catriona Matthew kept her place at the top of the leaderboard at the Airbus LPGA Classic in Mobile, Alabama, as she retained her one-shot lead over England's Charley Hull.

Matthew followed up her opening round of 64 with a 67 to finish five-under on the day, and 13-under overall, with Hull also carding 67 in her second round.

The Scot began on the front nine, picking up two birdies and a bogey, before finding her form with four more birdies in her final nine holes.

Hull, starting on the back nine, also saved her best putting for the second half of her round.

She claimed five birdies across holes one to nine, including three back-to-back across the 6th, 7th and 8th holes, but a disappointing bogey on the ninth meant she finished the day trailing Matthew by one-shot again.

A chasing pack of Hee Young Park, Anna Nordqvist and Jessica Korda remain in contention on 10-under par overall going into the third round.
