Tiger Woods will head into the fifth day of the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines in a strong position for the title.
With the weather and then bad light forcing play to go into Monday, Woods will return to the course on 17-under with 11 holes left to play.
World No 2 Woods is six shot clear of defending champion Brandt Snedeker and Nick Watney.
Woods had started the delayed third round with a two-shot lead but he moved clear of the pack after a three-under-par 69.
And despite the quick turnaround Woods picked up a further three shots in his final round before darkness fell.
Snedeker also carded a third-round 69 to give himself a chance - and he was on 11-under although with just five holes left to play.
Watney, the 2009 champion, could only manage 71 in his third round but he picked up three shots to join Snedeker on 11-under after eight holes.
Canada's Brad Fritsch was nine under through seven while Casey Wittenberg, Luke Guthrie, Josh Teater, Steve Marino and Erik Compton are all on eight under.
