Graeme McDowell: Cruised to victory with a final round 68
Graeme McDowell completed victory by two shots in the 18-player World Challenge in California on Sunday.
The Northern Irishman won the event - hosted by Tiger Woods - for the second time after also taking victory in 2010, the last time he won a tournament.
Final round leaderboard:
US unless stated
-17 G McDowell (N Ire)
-14 K Bradley
-10 B Van Pelt
-9 T Woods
-9 J Furyk
-9 R Fowler
McDowell led by two shots entering the final round and he extended that to three with a closing birdie on the way to recording a second successive 68.
The former US Open champion was rarely pressured by the chasers in what will be the final outing for many this season.
Playing partner Keegan Bradley briefly closed the gap before back-to-back bogeys approaching the term halted his momentum.
McDowell capitalised, picking up shots at the next two holes to essentially set up the win - with a solitary dropped shot at the long 13th failing to check his stride.
American Bo Van Pelt shot 70 for sole possession of third place ahead of Jim Furyk, Rickie Fowler and Tiger Woods, who were all solid if unspectacular.
