US Open champion Martin Kaymer and former world No 1 Luke Donald are the latest names added to the field for next month's Irish Open.
The duo follow American Ryder Cup star Patrick Reed in confirming their entry to the €2.5million event, where at least five of the world’s top 20 players will be in action.
Reed let the cat out of the bag on the final day of the Masters at Augusta National, also revealing he would compete in the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth the week before.
World No 1 Rory McIlroy, Ernie Els, Kaymer, Darren Clarke, Padraig Harrington, Graeme McDowell, Paul Lawrie and Jose Maria Olazabal had already announced they would be appearing at Royal County Down from May 28-31.
“There is definitely a good feeling about this year’s Irish Open,” Kaymer said. “I think Rory has done a great job to get such a great field for the event and to create a really nice atmosphere about the tournament."
As well as Reed, there'll be American interest in the form of Ryder Cup team-mate Rickie Fowler, while England's Lee Westwood is featuring for the first time since 2009.
“It’s great to see Martin, Luke and Patrick adding their names to the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open,” McIlroy, whose foundation is hosting the tournament, said. “To have another three truly world class players at the tournament can only give the Irish Open fans a better experience at Royal County Down.”
