Play was suspended during the first round of the KLM Open in the Netherlands after Fabrizio Zanotti was struck on the head by a golf ball.

The 31-year-old, who won the BMW International Open in June, was on the 16th fairway when he was injured by a ball hit from the 14th tee.

Zanotti received treatment on the course before being taken to hospital but his injuries are not serious.
