Robert Rock: Defending champion pulls out of Abu Dhabi Championship
Defending champion Robert Rock has withdrawn from the Abu Dhabi Championship due to illness.
The 35-year-old Englishman pulled out before teeing off in the second round at the Abu Dhabi Golf Club.
Rock had opened his title defence with a disappointing four-over-par 76 on Thursday.
He played alongside Justin Rose, who shared the lead after 18 holes, and Ernie Els in the opening round.
Rock achieved the biggest victory of his career 12 months ago when he outplayed former world No 1 Tiger Woods in a head-to-head duel in the final round.
