Henrik Stenson has been rewarded for his fine recent form with a call into Europe's Royal Trophy team.

The Swede broke a three-year winless run last weekend with victory at the South African Open and his return to form was enough to secure a place in Jose Maria Olazabal's line-up.

Stenson joins fellow Ryder Cup winners Paul Lawrie, Francesco Molinari, Nicolas Colsaerts and Colin Montgomerie among the players already nominated for Europe.

The event takes place from 14-16 December at Brunei's Empire Hotel and Country Club.

"Henrik's confidence will be sky-high after this latest win, which highlighted his strong character as well as his enormous talent," Olazabal said.

"It is great to have him on our team. His Royal Trophy record is a phenomenal one, both individually and in terms of helping Europe prevail in tight circumstances."
