Michael Campbell and Miguel Angel Jimenez were tied for the lead at 10-under-par going into the final round of the Hong Kong Open.

Campbell, one ahead overnight and searching for his first win since 2005, rolled in an 18-foot putt for par at the 18th to complete a one-under 69 and retain his place at the top of the leaderboard.

The New Zealander was joined by veteran Spaniard Jimenez, who won this event in 2007 and, at 48, would be the oldest winner in European Tour history if he prevails on Sunday.

There was one anxious moment for Campbell when he accidentally struck his ball while preparing to tee off on the 10th.

It travelled only a few yards and Campbell was able to replace it without penalty after European Tour referee John Paramor accepted he had not intended to play a shot.

Jimenez parred all nine holes on the outward half and then picked up shots at the 10th and 14th on the way to a two-under 68.

The leading duo are one ahead of Italian Matteo Manassero, winner in Singapore last week, and China's Lian-wei Zhang.

Manassero produced the equal low round of the day, a six-under 64, to power into contention, while Zhang kept home hopes alive with a 69.

Swede Fredrik Andersson Hed is alone at eight under after a level par 70, one shot ahead of Ireland's Peter Lawrie (67) and Dane Anders Hansen (70).
