The impressive Le Golf National hosts this week's French Open for the 20th time.

Selected as the venue for the 2018 Ryder Cup, the club - which is situated 20 miles south-west of Paris - is hosting the national Open for an 11th straight year.

Opened in 1990, Le Golf National is a modern stadium-style course, with plenty of water and a fair amount of sand.

And its spacious greens will require a considerable amount of attention when it comes to reading the line and speed of the putts.

So who's teeing-up?

Gregory Bourdy: Started well in Ireland last week when he held the lead after 36 holes and went on to finish in a tie for 33rd. The Frenchman was tied 6th in Paris two years ago.

Mark Foster: A runner-up last year, the solid Englishman enjoyed a top six finish in Ireland on Sunday.

Martin Kaymer: A former champion at Le Golf National where the German has registered four top 10 finishes in five visits.

Matteo Manassero: The teenage Italian has posted five top 10 finishes this season but is without a win in almost 15 months.

Francesco Molinari: The ever-consistent 29-year-old rarely performs poorly and, at Royal Portrush last week, he produced another top 10 finish.

Lee Westwood: Rarely out of contention and a runner-up at Le Golf National three years ago.
