When golf meets iconic football footwear - it may not be to the traditionalists' taste but the adidas Samba Golf shoes have arrived looking to score a big hit in the market.
Samba lovers can now sport their favourite footwear creation on the golf course thanks to adidas bringing out these football-inspired golf shoes, as more and more different styles flood into the golf shoes market.
Not that these are merely just a pair of Samba's though - they have the usual bucket load of technology packed into them as you'd expect from a top footwear brand.
Including the adidas 'ThinTech Technology' in the low-profile outsole which keeps your feet closer to the ground for added stability - along with a 6-Spike configuration to keep that much-needed traction.
Although they may not look as sturdy as your normal golf shoe, the lightweight, synthetic leather and textile upper is pretty durable and all-importantly water resistant - which obviously is a necessity around the UK during summer let alone winter.
Basically, the fashionable style of the Sambas does not compromise the comfort or more importantly the performance on the course, which after a first test of three rounds in three days stood up well.
Personally there were no ill effects even from the first wear, when they were taken straight out of the box and straight onto the feet for a weekend of golf.
Comfort is spot-on, and style is second to none if you are a fan of the original Samba shoes - these golf shoes will not fail to get envious looks and complementary comments you're your fellow golfers.
The come in black as well as white, and there have also been some special editions made to commemorate the four majors this year in those specific colours if you can still get your hands on them.
