The European Tour returns to Gut Larchenhof for the first time in almost three years. Formerly the venue for the discontinued German Masters event, the Cologne course is staging this week's BMW International Open for the first time. The flat, 16-year-old Jack Nicklaus-designed layout is well served by water and requires accuracy off the tee. So who's taking part? Thomas Bjorn: The Dane enjoyed his highest finish of the season in the recent Wales Open at Celtic Manor where he tied-for-second. Ross Fisher: Was a top-three finisher in Cologne four years ago. The tall Englishman enjoyed back-to-back top-six finishes at recent tournaments in Wales and Sweden. Martin Kaymer: Remains one of the game's brightest talents and also one of the most consistent but without a Tour title since last November when he won in China. However, he will fancy his chances on home soil this weekend. Lives just 20 minutes from the course. Joost Luiten: The upwardly-mobile Dutchman would love nothing better than to nip across the border into Germany and win on his Gut Larchenhof debut. David Lynn: A former runner-up at Gut Larchenhof whose sole top-10 finish of the season came in Spain during March. Bernd Wiesberger: The young Austrian should still be full of confidence following his maiden Tour win in Korea during April.
