The famous, or is that infamous, par three 16th where the huge crowds can go crazy.
The PGA Tour is back in the desert this week for the Waste Management Phoenix Open at TPC Scottsdale.
The tournament remains one of the best-attended events in world golf, with the lush and well-watered Scottsdale course located in the Sonoran Desert and surrounded by the McDowell Mountains.
Designed by Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish - and opened in 1986 - Scottsdale is traditionally a low-scoring venue and since 1993 the winning total has only once been higher than 270.
The average round score last year was a stunning 69.52, while home players have emerged victorious in 12 of the last 14 stagings.
So who hopes their form will get hot this weekend?
Rickie Fowler: Runner-up in Arizona two years ago and a creditable 13th in California on Sunday.
Phil Mickelson: Feels at home at TPC Scottsdale (he went to college at Arizona State) where he has twice been a winner and in 2005 even carded a round of 60 en route to the title. He has had six top-10s here since 2000. The one downside for Lefty is his current mediocre form - just one top-six finish since last April.
Scott Piercy: All three previous appearances in this tournament have yielded top-20 finishes. And, in last week's event at Torrey Pines, there was another top-20 performance.
Camilo Villegas: Runner-up on his Scottsdale debut in 2006. The Colombian has shown signs in recent weeks that he may be returning to the sort of form that made him one of the best young prospects in the game.
Bubba Watson: The big-hitting American posted four steady rounds en route to finishing in a tie-for-13th in San Diego on Sunday.
Mark Wilson: The defending champion who has already tasted victory this season in the deserts of Palm Springs.
