Jason Day: Australian remains sidelined with injured thumb
Australian Jason Day has withdrawn from the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill this week because of an injured thumb.
The 26-year-old was also forced to miss the WGC-Cadillac Championship at Doral earlier this month after injuring his thumb on his way to victory in the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship at the end of February.
Day beat Frenchman Victor Dubuisson in a dramatic final at Dove Mountain to move up to No 4 in the world rankings.
However, he could now face a race against time to be fit for the Masters which starts at Augusta National on April 10.
He finished third in the first major of the season last year and tied for second place in 2011.
