To celebrate his recent engagement, Rory McIlroy was presented with a traditional Arabic men's cloak at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship on Friday.
Intrigued fans from across the world watched as McIlory received the intricately-designed Bisht from Emirati Adil Khalid of Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing.
A Bisht, which is fashioned from the finest spun wool and cashmere and edged with an ornamental braid of woven gold thread, is a ceremonial gown worn by Emirati men on special occasions, particularly weddings.
McIlroy announced his engagement to tennis star Caroline Wozniaki over the Festive period but the Northern Irishman has so far declined to reveal the wedding date.
He goes into the final two rounds of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship in tied fourth place - just two shots off the lead.
