The votes have been counted and skysports.com users have selected Henrik Stenson's second to the 18th hole at the DP World Tour Championship as their 'Shot of 2013'.

We gave readers a choice of ten shots from which to choose their favourite and it was the Swede's sweet strike with a 3-wood in Dubai that emerged as a clear winner.

Already cruising to victory in the European Tour's season finale, Stenson put the cherry on top of a wonderful week with a superb second to the long par-five 18th at the Earth Course that flew all the way to the putting surface, creeping up, around and then back down a contour in the green before settling just a couple of inches from the hole, setting up a tap-in eagle.

It was a fitting end to a stellar season for the 37-year-old Swede who won both the FedEx Cup and Race to Dubai series.

Second in our poll was Justin Rose's memorable second shot to the 18th at Merion, a simply superb four-iron that helped him close out his maiden major triumph at the US Open.

Rounding out the top three was a trademark flop-shot from short-game wizard Phil Mickelson, his piece of magic coming during the second round of the Scottish Open which he would go on to win at Castle Stuart.

2013 Shots of the Year - Results:
1. Henrik Stenson @ DP World Tour Championship - 29%
2. Justin Rose @ US Open - 19%
3. Phil Mickelson @ Scottish Open - 18%
