Jose Maria Olazabal admits that he still gets emotional when he watches his European team's Ryder Cup miracle on DVD now and again, as he met up with his 12 heroes once again.

All Europe's victorious Ryder Cup team will play at the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth this week, and they were also all at the European Tour gala dinner.

Olazabal says that he still, from time to time, watches footage from the Ryder Cup and still gets emotional when he relives the magical happening at Medinah.

"It's going to be a great night, it's always nice to have those 12 guys under the same roof, what they did that week in Medinah was extraordinary," Olazabal told Sky Sports News.

"It was emotional, intense drama, we went through a lot of tough times during that week but somehow they managed to turn things around on that Sunday.

"I've had my time to settle things down, but every now and then I watch the DVD and I have to say I still get emotional."

Paul McGinley is the next man up as European captain, and he will lead his team against the USA at Gleneagles in 2014, and Olazabal says that although it is a huge honour it is also a massive task.

"He's going to have a few more grey hairs that's for sure! I don't envy the position, I've always said it's a lot of hard work, it takes a lot of your time, you have to sacrifice your time and your family life.

"I think he deserves to be in that position, it's going to be an amazing experience but I don't envy him."

One of the big issues this week, along with the anmchored putter ban, has been Sergio Garcia's growing sat with Tiger Woods, but Olazabal does not agree with his fellow Spaniard - who said most players on Tour had a problem with the world No 1.

"I've never felt scared of facing Tiger and saying what I felt - I've never had any issues with him and I've played with him a few times at the Masters and major events.

"In my case I have to say that I've had no issues with him whatsoever, but it depends on the players obviously. "
