America's Ricky Barnes has made a fast start to the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, shooting a 64 to claim the early lead.
With just a few players yet to complete their opening rounds, Barnes led by one from his compatriots Boo Weekley and Lucas Glover.
English pair Justin Rose and Brian Davis could also be in the mix over the weekend after they both shot four-under-par rounds of 64 to lie four off the early pace.
Rose made four birdies in five holes from the seventh at the TPC Louisiana to power up the leaderboard but failed to pick up any more shots and bogeyed the par-three 17th.
Davis started his round on the 10th and dropped an early shot on the 12th but then bounced back with birdies on 14 and 18, before a very nice second nine, which he played in three-under-par.
Early leader Barnes got his round off to a superb start when he eagled the par-five second but he was only two-under when he reached the 11th.
However, he went on to birdie six of the last eight holes, making four in a row from the 13th, to finish on a real high.
Other notable names to make a good start included Ernie Els and Rickie Fowler, who both shot five-under-par rounds of 67.
