Nicolas Colsaerts will devote himself to the PGA Tour in 2013 after winning enough money as a non-member this season to secure a card.

The big-hitting Belgian revealed the news on his Twitter feed on Monday after ending the year with $677,011 in only nine qualifying starts.

That was $29,501 more than Kevin Chappell, who finished the season in 125th place on the money list after the season came to an end with the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals Classic on Sunday.

Colsaerts, ranked No 34 in the world, became the first Belgian to play in the Ryder Cup last month, impressing American fans when he was 10-under on his own ball as he and Lee Westwood beat Tiger Woods and Steve Stricker in a superb four-ball match.

The longest driver on his own circuit - at 318.6 yards he averages three yards more than the PGA Tour's biggest hitter Bubba Watson - said that he would still commit to some events in Europe.

"It's official now...PGA Tour member!!" he wrote. "I will still play a few in Europe...my heart will always be back home."
