Ernie Els will take a two-shot lead into the final day of the South African Open after carding back-to-back 65s on his way to a halfway total of 130.
After rain-delays in Durban the final 36 holes will be played on Sunday, with Els well-placed to win his national championship for the fifth time.
The three-time major champion was bogey-free on Saturday, moving to 14 under par overall. His closest challenger is fellow two-time US Open winner Retief Goosen, who birdied the last to add a 68 to his opening 64.
Rookie Frenchman Romain Wattel is in third place after a 66.
South Africans Charl Schwartzel and Open champion Louis Oosthuizen are a shot further back on 10-under.
Englishman David Dixon is the highest-placed Briton on nine-under after a 69, while Goosen's co-overnight leader Alex Cejka is amongst a group of five players on eight under after a sloppy 72.
World number 12 Els, who was one behind the leaders after the first round, was highly impressive as he recorded four birdies in six holes on the front nine and three more coming home.
Confidence
He said: "It's never easy, but as I said yesterday, I felt really good. Again I feel like I'm hitting the ball quite nicely and that gives you some confidence on the tees.
"I've been doing the same as yesterday and I have a good game-plan for the golf course. Again, the wind didn't blow so it makes low scoring a little easier."
But Els stopped short of predicting what a possible winning score could be, adding: "I don't want to look too far ahead. I'm quite patient this week, I'm playing within myself and I'd like to do that again tomorrow.
"This type of course you can hit one bad shot and make a double quickly. I'll play to my game-plan, keep plugging away and see where it goes."
