Don't miss a moment of The Masters on Sky Sports.
Kirsty Gallacher tells skysports.com what's on her Masters itinerary as she prepares for a busy week with Sky Sports News at Augusta.
Hi Kirsty, what's on the agenda this week?
Hi guys, well... we arrived Saturday night and Sunday was a busy day because we've had the drive, chip and putt championships which is a new initiative for juniors. It's been busy out on the course already and it gains momentum as the days go by. We have the Masters preview show coming up 7.30pm UK time on Monday on Sky Sports 4 HD and that will be great because my cousin Stephen is on the show! I'm then hosting the Par 3 tournament on Wednesday - which is always great fun - and Thursday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday Sky Sports News will be keeping people updated on the news, what's happening, any breaking news from the course and pointing everyone in the direction of our coverage.
You must be really proud of Stephen, how is he feeling ahead of his Masters debut?
Kirsty bursting with pride!
He is really excited about qualifying for the first time and has been out playing a few holes already. I just went to look at the leaderboard with his name on and he's sandwiched in-between Sergio Garcia and Jim Furyk! Our family are really proud of him - he's got nothing to lose. Your first tournament at Augusta is difficult. It's a tricky course anyway and as a debutant it's not an easy task. To have him on the show will be great and talking about the rest of the week, the weather, the course and the Eisenhower Tree.
For those who haven't been to Augusta before, is it as perfect as it looks on TV?
Yeah it's pretty perfect. It's a shame the weather has been overcast, grey and rainy so far but it's going to get better as the week goes on. When it's beautifully sunny and warm there's nothing better, it's like paradise and another world out here. When it's gloomy it's not so pleasant but the course is beautiful.
Any tips for us?
There are a few players I'm backing this week (not literally). Matt Kuchar, despite coming second in Houston, is in good form. Zach Johnson has a good record here and is never far away either. European-wise I think Rory has a great chance, especially with Tiger not being here. There is quite a lot of pressure on Rory but his confidence seems on the up. Sergio Garcia is also hitting form and it could be his year. How brilliant would that be and what a story?
