We run the rule over Ping's new summer collection

Now the sun has (sort of) started to finally make an appearance in the UK and now the Olympics has stopped taking over everyone's attention, it's time to get back out onto the golf course, and we thought we'd do it in style by trying out Ping's new apparel collection. The new Ping Collection offering has everything including polo-shirts, trousers, shorts, knitwear, layering, outerwear, accessories and skirts for the warmer season. A combination of bright colours but mixed with traditional black and greys is the theme, while the fabric is packed full of performance-driven technology to ensure you are comfortable when stepping up to the tee. Different fits mean you can opt for the more sporty-fitting polo shirts for those wanting to showcase a powerful physique, or the more traditional ones with a bit more room in for winding up that big drive. Not just for your average male golfer, Ping have catered for women and juniors with a vast array of items for all sorts. Rebecca McElligott, PING Collection's Product Manager, told us: "We're absolutely delighted with every aspect of the range. Every season brings a new challenge, and we continue to strive to make the most comfortable, functional and performance-centred golf attire on the market. "I firmly believe that the Spring/Summer 2012 range has achieved this and our design team have made their most aesthetically pleasing ensemble to date. "The colour palette we have chosen complements the Spring/Summer season particularly well, with a vibrant feel and subtle overtones. "I'm very confident that these colour stories will be very popular with men, women and juniors. We've certainly created a diverse range that will cater for every style of golfer."
