Watch Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods put their rivalry to one side after the USA win the Presidents Cup

Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods engaged in a warm embrace as the United States celebrated a dominant victory over the International team in the Presidents Cup.

The American pair, two of the sport's greatest and most competitive players, were seen smiling together during the hosts' celebrations at Liberty National GC on Sunday.

The multiple major winners, who have spent 21 years on tour together, have gained a reputation for being rivals thanks to their high-profile battles on the golf course.

Woods was an assistant captain for the biennial team match play event as Mickelson made his 23rd consecutive team USA appearance in New Jersey.

Mickelson, who will be looking to make his 12th consecutive Ryder Cup appearance next year at Le Golf National, won his 25th career Presidents Cup match on Saturday to pass Woods' previous record for the most career matches won in the event's history.
