Kimi Raikkonen has played down talk that he might make a surprise return to Ferrari, with the Finn insisting he is happy at Lotus.
Speculation that Raikkonen might return to the Scuderia as team-mate to Fernando Alonso surfaced ahead of the Hungarian Grand Prix, a race in which he finished second to Lewis Hamilton.
Speaking afterwards, Raikkonen refused to rule out a return to the Scuderia, with whom he won the 2007 World Championship, but said he was happy with his current team.
"I always said that I didn't have bad feelings against them," said Raikkonen, who left Ferrari ahead of schedule in 2009 to make way for Alonso. "I had a good time with the team. I won my Championship there but things probably could have gone a nicer way in the end.
"Life goes on and you never know what happens in the future but I'm happy where I am now and things are going pretty nicely. I don't come up with the rumours, so perhaps you have to asked the people who wrote them."
Raikkonen signed a two-year contract to race for Lotus late last year having left Ferrari at the end of 2009 to pursue a rally career.
Former boss Stefano Domenicali also sought to diffuse the speculation whilst backing Alonso's team-mate Felipe Massa.
"Kimi was a World Champion with us but I saw the speculation in the media and it's nothing more than that," the Ferrari Team Principal said.
"On the driver side what I can say is confirm what I said to you last week: that we're not in any rush to make any decision or to announce anything because we want to pick the right time
"We are totally in line with Felipe and for us Felipe has to be protected because it's important for this Championship and this is the situation.
"So at the moment there is nothing new on that subject."
