Felipe Massa insists the speculation surrounding his future will have no impact on him or his performances during the final six races of the 2012 World Championship.

Having been comprehensively outperformed by Fernando Alonso during their time together at Ferrari and, with the Brazilian out of contract at the end of the season, it was widely expected his deal would not be renewed.

An improvement in form during recent weeks could, however, grant Massa a stay of execution in 2013, and the 31-year-old says all he can do is focus on racing.

"Of course my future is important, but right now it's the results that are the most important thing, which means I have to concentrate on each race as it comes," Felipe told the official Ferrari website.

"I know what I can do, what I can give to the team and what are my talents. The team also knows this, because I've been here with them for rather longer than a day or even a year!

"The best plan is to race without worrying about the future."
