Martin was actually being modest when he once reflected that "my motor racing career turns out to have been a fact-finding mission for my TV work". Modest because his F1 career - complete with podiums and duels against such legends as Michael Schumacher and Ayrton Senna - deserves greater recognition than that wry dismissal. And modest because his TV work requires no introduction. He truly is the voice of F1.

There's not much Martin Brundle hasn't seen in the world of motorsport and here in the latest edition of Sky Sports' Sporting Chapters the modern-day voice of F1 reminiscences about his 40 years in the business.

Talking to Anna Woolhouse about his newly-released book 'Martin Brundle Scrapbook', the Sky Sports F1 expert analyst reflects on both his acclaimed racing and TV careers in typically honest and illuminating fashion.

The former Benetton and McLaren driver talks about how he got the bug for racing at a young age - despite an early bump at Butlins! - his famous F3 duels with Ayrton Senna, his huge sportscar successes and the ups and downs of his F1 career, including memories of his season alongside Michael Schumacher in 1992.

And, to bring the story right up to date, Martin also explains how he made what has turned into a massively successful transition to award-winning TV commentator and about his current role with Sky Sports F1 - including those famous Grid Walks!

Martin Brundle Scrapbook is out now and contains 265 pages and 500 photos along with anecdotes from the main himself as well as contributions from those who have known him best. Visit for more details.
