Hamilton and Vettel get close
The Sky Sports F1 pundits have lauded Lewis Hamilton for his stunning victory in the U.S. GP - but accepted that the win must be seen in the uncomfortable context of his decision to join Mercedes.
For while Hamilton's epic defeat of Sebastian Vettel and the rest of the field produced fist-pumps and ecstatic scenes of celebration in the McLaren garage, Sunday's win must have also been a bittersweet result for the team given that Hamilton has just one race left with the Woking outfit before he departs for Mercedes.

"The performance from Lewis was phenomenal, he came here in a very determined frame of mind. But I think what will be a big loss to McLaren is the passion and desire he brings to the team," noted Sky F1's Johnny Herbert.
"We've seen today just how good Lewis is, and however McLaren want to paint it, Lewis going to Mercedes is not a good thing," added Martin Brundle, who had earlier remarked in commentary that Hamilton was driving better than at any other stage of his career.
Hamilton's speed was on constant display throughout the race as he passed both Red Bulls to guarantee that he will depart McLaren on a high.
"I think this was one of the classiest races Lewis has ever produced," declared an evidently-impressed Anthony Davidson.
While both sides have insisted that they have no regrets - Hamilton with his decision to join a Mercedes that once again left Austin pointless, team boss Martin Whitmarsh with his attempts to persuade Lewis to sign a contract extension - about their impending divorce, former World Champion Damon Hill believes otherwise.
"It's a curious thing to be winning for a team you are now leaving. There must be a certain amount of regret," Damon commented.
