Lewis Hamilton has described Sebastian Vettel as 'lucky' as the Red Bull driver strives to win a third successive title.
Fresh from Hamilton's public proclamation that Fernando Alonso - the only other driver who still possesses a realistic chance of stopping Vettel becoming a three-time World Champion this year - would be a "deserved" victor at the end of this season, the remark is sure to fuel suspicion that Hamilton still believes only Alonso is his equal.
"When I won the world championship, I wasn't as lucky as Sebastian has been to have a car that's as dominant the next year as well," Hamilton told reporters in Delhi.
"I'm very sad that we've not been able to win another world championship. I feel that we, as a team, are good enough to have done so and I feel that I'm good enough to have done so.
"For whatever reason it hasn't happened and I'm not going to complain. For the rest of the year now it's just to try and help the team win the Constructors' Championship."

Hamilton's own title hopes effectively came to a premature end two weeks ago when he collected just a solitary point in Korea and the likelihood is that even four consecutive victories in the remaining races of the season - and his McLaren career - would still be insufficient to trump both Vettel and Alonso.
"Realistically we are too far away, I would say, to win the drivers' title. If we did through some kind of miracle, then I'll eat my words," added Lewis.
Meanwhile, Hamilton is moving closer towards making an amicable departure from McLaren. Almost a month after it was announced that he would be breaking his ties with the team for whom he has driven since boyhood, Hamilton visited McLaren's HQ last week and has made contact with Ron Dennis, the former McLaren team boss who mentored his progression into F1.
"I spoke to Ron," confirmed Hamilton. "We are planning to meet up, I think it's in Abu Dhabi. We'll go for a dinner, have a good chat."
