Formula 1 teams may have retreated to their factories for two weeks of intensive work between the Jerez and Bahrain tests but that hasn't stopped two outfits, Mercedes and Lotus, from displaying the sport's lighter side via viral videos.

Mercedes' YouTube clip features Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg playing dumb over the raft of new regulations introduced for the upcoming new season. And to show that real life is not always stranger than fiction, there's also some apparent subtle criticism of the highly controversial double points rule too:

Meanwhile, Lotus' new E22 may not have yet been seen in public so far, but the team made clear they are gearing up for the first Bahrain test by releasing a video funny of their own involving Romain Grosjean and new signing Pastor Maldonado.

But it hasn't only been F1's teams who have been making viral YouTube clips recently as the Sky Sports F1 team have also been having some fun building up to F1 2014. Watch the four clips released by the channel so far below:

The Sky Sports F1 Online team will be providing live commentary of all three winter tests with live updates from trackside also on Sky Sports News. The next test, in Bahrain, begins on Wednesday February 19.
