The day will start with heavy downpours, which could turn thundery, before becoming lighter around the start of Practice 1.
However, heavier rain is set to hit the circuit around lunch time, and will remain throughout the afternoon. Temperatures will peak at 18c.
Conditions improve on Saturday, with only light rain forecast and there is even the chance of a dry Qualifying session.
Showers though are forecast all day on Sunday which could add yet more spice to what has already been an unpredictable 2012 season.
