Paul di Resta has welcomed the latest wave of speculation linking him with a move to one of F1's elite, race-winning teams - but insisted he remains committed to Force India.

The Scot has been repeatedly linked with both Ferrari and Mercedes in recent weeks, with Nick Fry, Mercedes' Chief Executive Officer, even going public on Sunday with the team's interest in acquiring Di Resta's services were Michael Schumacher to retire at the end of the year.

A transfer to Mercedes, with whom Di Resta shares a long-term association, remains eminently feasible, but it's also thought that Ferrari are considering the Force India driver as a possible replacement for the faltering Felipe Massa.

The man himself is remaining coy on the matter. However, although focused on the present with Force India, Di Resta is not shy about voicing his ambition to move up F1's pecking order in the future.

"It's always nice to have the press interest and people looking out for you, but I need to stay focused on doing the best job I possibly can," he told Sky Sports News. "It's no secret that I want to be a race winner and World Champion - and to do that, I need to be in a great car."
