Aston Villa v Manchester City

When: Monday 4th March
Channel: Sky Sports 1HD
Kick-Off: 8:00pm
Coverage Starts: 7:00pm
Aston Villa and Manchester City head into their Monday Night Football showdown desperate for points to aid their respective battles at opposite ends of the Premier League table.
Villa remain firmly entrenched in a relegation battle, and are running out of time to steer a course to safety, while City still cling to the Premier League trophy with their fingernails, with arch-rivals Manchester United having established a commanding lead at the summit.
The two sides have already met on two occasions this season, with City easing to a 5-0 victory at the Etihad Stadium in the league and Villa claiming a notable Capital One Cup scalp in Manchester back in September.
While Paul Lambert's side were soundly beaten the last time this pair locked horns, they have suffered just one defeat in their last five clashes with City at Villa Park.
That solitary success did come last season, though, and Roberto Mancini knows his City team have to make it back-to-back wins in the Midlands if they are to keep the pressure on United, while pushing Villa a little deeper into the mire.
